Behaviour Support Practitioner
Pay: $85,000 - $110,000 + super (experience-based)
Location: North Strathfield, NSW
Employment Type: Full-time
Tradewind Australia is partnering with a well-established, multidisciplinary allied health practice in Melbourne's west to recruit a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
This is an opportunity to join a values-led, clinician-run service delivering high-quality, evidence-based support to NDIS participants with complex needs. The organisation is known for its strong clinical leadership, flexibility, and genuine focus on practitioner wellbeing.
About the Role
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work with children, young people and/or adults with disability who present with behaviours of concern.
You'll deliver person-centred, trauma-informed support, working closely with families, carers and stakeholders to improve quality of life and reduce restrictive practices.
This is a highly autonomous role with strong clinical support, ideal for someone who enjoys flexibility, meaningful work, and being part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments (FBA)
- Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans in line with NDIS requirements
- Deliver evidence-based interventions and strategies
- Work collaboratively with families, carers and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide training and education to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission guidelines
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
What You'll Bring
Essential
- Experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner within the NDIS
- Registration as a CORE or Proficient Practitioner under the NDIS Commission
- Relevant qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or similar
- Strong understanding of positive behaviour support and restrictive practice frameworks
