Whether you're looking to work a few days a week or to pack out your calendar, we'll work with you to match shifts to your availability and preferences.
What we're looking for:
- A recognised Cert III or Diploma qualification for Early Childhood (ACECQA recognised)
- A genuine love for working with children
- Current WWC + First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma (or willing to obtain)
- Current Mandatory Reporting for Early Childhood and National Child Safety Training Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in a childcare setting is essential
- Punctuality, flexibility and a proactive, positive attitude
- Access to your own vehicle and a willingness to travel up to 45 minutes
- A minimum of 3 days availability across Monday - Friday and able to work long day care hours where required
Key duties:
- Engage with children in meaningful play-based learning activities
- Implement and contribute to the development of educational programs that are aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care, at all times
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and learning experiences, where required.
- Collaborate and communicate respectfully and effectively with coworkers, families
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Passionate about Education and the learning and development of children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A consistent willingness to get stuck in and show initiative
- Ability to work effectively as part of any team
- Strong understanding of EYLF, VEDYLF and Child Safety Standards
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a casual capacity
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
