Job Summary: As casual shift opportunities continue to grow, Tradewind Australia is seeking passionate, experienced, and qualified Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) professionals for casual roles across a range of settings, including Special Development Schools (SDS) and mainstream school environments. About the Role:
Tradewind are seeking dynamic and experienced OSH Educators to support Out of School Hours Care services in Mainstream Primary schools and Special Development schools across Melbourne.
These shifts are on a casual basis with varying hours across different services:
OSH Before school hours are approximately between 6am - 9.15am (but usually 7am - 9am)
OSH After School hours are approximately between: 2.30 - 6pm
School holiday program shifts will also available.
Ideally, you will be available at least three days per week (Monday-Friday) and have access to your own vehicle as several of our service locations are not easily reached by public transport.
Key duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging, child-focused programs including STEM, sport, cooking, and creative arts.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and staff to foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of educators to provide enriching educational experiences and engage children in their learning and activities.
- Ensure children's safety and wellbeing at all time.
- Maintain adherence to all regulations, policies, and the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Child Safety standards.
- An ACECQA approved qualification to work in OSH services (see ACECQA website for a list of approved qualifications)
- Prior experience as either an Early Childhood Educator in Early Childhood Settings, Education Support, Disability Support worker and/or OSH Educator in SDS and Mainstream school settings.
- The flexibility to work in both SDS and Mainstream schools is an advantage.
- Availability of at least 3 days per week and access to a car
- Ideally you will be available for both Before School care and afterschool care shifts, although this is not essential
- Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates (or willingness to obtain).
- Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Mandatory Reporting Certificate for Early Years (Or willingness to obtain) and National Child Safety Training Certificate.
- Hold a current Employee Working with Children Check and Police Check (or be willing to obtain one).
