About the Role:

The purpose of Family Services Australia (FSA) is to create positive change in families under stress, as well as a safer and more caring environments for children and young people's development. The Provisional Psychologist will manage a caseload of children and families in hard to reach and vulnerable populations of the NSW South Coast. The role will work within a trauma-informed framework and proactively establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with other team members, FSA service streams, and key stakeholders, including other health care professionals and external organisations.

The Provisional Psychologist/Registered Psychologist/Social Worker role operates with a degree of autonomy while maintaining regular consultation with their supervisors. Overall, the Provisional Psychologist more broadly supports FSA in ensuring high quality services and associated operations in accordance with the Practice Manager, Service Manager, Clinical Lead, Senior Leadership Group (SLG) and Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

Essential:

  • Degree in Psychology, Social Work or associated discipline.

  • Registration with the appropriate professional body.

  • At least one year of experience in psychological intervention and practice.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaboratively plan and coordinate individualised and evidence-based psychological interventions for a diverse range of client presentations.

  • Experience working from a trauma-informed framework and ensuring a high standard of care, quality assurance, and risk management for all clients.

  • Excellent prioritisation and time management, with a demonstrated capacity to manage a dynamic caseload with varied presentations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated capacity for proactive liaison with relevant stakeholders and/or community engagement.

  • Demonstrated capacity to implement principles of reflective practice and self-care within a team.

  • Current Working with Children Check number.

  • Current unrestricted Driver's Licence.

  • Full Vaccination against COVID-19.
