Job Description

AOD Team Leader

  • Full time ongoing positions available

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Clinical AOD Team Leader.

You will be responsible for ensuring the Clinical Team have a thorough knowledge of the underlying principles, theory, and essential qualities of informed and considered clinical practice within the Therapeutic Community environment. You will provide high quality leadership, provide supervision and support to a multidisciplinary team aimed at preventing/reducing the impacts of on young people.

You will:

  • Effectively lead the team in Clinical Care which includes but is not limited to, supervision, mentoring, support.
  • Implementation of the program delivery
  • Model best practice in the application of therapeutic principles, organisational policies and practices and professional boundaries in service delivery
  • Facilitate therapy groups and individual sessions.
  • Support the Program Coordinator through the provision of regular reports on client progress.
  • Maintain knowledge of best practice in addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Ensure performance targets are being adhered to and monitor program outcomes

You will have:

  • A bachelor degree in Social Work, Youth Work, or a relevant field
  • Extensive experience working with young people from a diverse range of backgrounds
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team of professionals, with the ability to guide, supervise, and support employees
  • Ability to actively engage young people with complex needs
  • A comprehensive understanding of the homelessness & AOD service system, as well as the relevant statutory requirements and legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving skills, and negotiation skills

Desirable:

  • Provide First Aid certificate (First Aid Level 2)

You will also have or be willing to undergo a Working with Children Check and a Police Check.
