· Approximately $70,000 plus 11.5% Super

· Centre Hours are: Rotating roster, 8hour shifts, with 1 RDO per month

About the Role:

Tradewind is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and fully qualified Early Childhood Educator (Diploma Level) to join a dynamic and nurturing Early Learning Centre in the heart of Fitzroy. This permanent, full-time position is available for an immediate start, offering a rewarding career in a supportive environment.


The ideal candidate will bring experience and/or specialised training in working with children who have diverse needs, including disabilities, neurodiversity, and trauma-impacted backgrounds. As a key member of the team, you'll play an essential role in fostering the development and well-being of young learners, creating a positive, inclusive, and empowering environment where every child can thrive.


This role offers a flexible, balanced work schedule with Monday to Friday shifts on a rotating roster, ensuring work-life harmony.

Key duties:

  • Identify and cater for individual learner needs
  • Provide an environment that promotes the cognitive, physical, emotional, social and intellectual wellbeing of all students
  • Work closely with parents regarding the progress and development of their children
  • Participate in the creation, development and evaluation of curriculum
  • Stay informed regarding current trends, early childhood practices and curriculum and resource developments


Required Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Qualification (or ACECQA equivalent)
  • Up to date First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management qualifications
  • Current WWCC - Employee
  • Current Mandatory Reporting for Early Years (or willingness to undertake training)
  • Current Right to work in Australia


Skills & Experience:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a permanent Diploma Educator position in an Early Childhood setting
  • Experienced or trained in working with children with additional needs such as trauma- impacted needs, disability, learning development delay, neurodiversity and behavioural challenges
  • Experienced in program planning for a diverse range of Early Years ages and needs
  • The ability to be resilient, adaptable and show very strong pedagogical knowledge of the EYLF and Child Safety Standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people and also demonstrate a competent level of English, both written and spoken
