Family Intervention Practitioner
Pay: $53.96 per hour + super + NFP salary packaging

Tradewind Australia is partnering with a community-based family services provider to recruit a Family Intervention Practitioner to support children, young people and families experiencing complex challenges in the Bundaberg community.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to provide intensive, family-focused support, working directly with families to promote safety, stability, reunification and positive outcomes for children and young people.

The role will involve:

• Providing intensive in-home family support
• Family preservation and reunification
• Assessing family needs, strengths and risks
• Providing therapeutic and counselling-based support
• Supporting families involved with Child Safety
• Developing and implementing case plans
• Working collaboratively with families, carers and other services
• Maintaining accurate case notes and documentation

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for candidates with experience in:

• Family intervention, family support or child and family services
• Working with children, young people and families experiencing complex challenges
• Child protection or statutory services
• Case management and therapeutic support
• Risk assessment and safety planning

Requirements:

A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Science or a related discipline is highly regarded/required for the position.

We would also be interested in speaking with candidates who have a background in Education or Early Childhood Learning (ELC) and have since transitioned into the family services space, particularly those with experience supporting vulnerable children, young people and families.
