A leading independent school in Brisbane's south is seeking an outstanding Mathematics Teacher to join a high-performing faculty. The Role

This is an opportunity for a passionate Maths educator to deliver engaging, rigorous learning programs across Years 7-12, with the ability to teach senior Mathematics viewed favourably. You will contribute to a collaborative faculty culture that values evidence-informed teaching, thoughtful curriculum design and strong student relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Mathematics programs aligned to the relevant curriculum and senior assessment framework.
  • Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including extension and enrichment as well as targeted intervention.
  • Use data to monitor progress, provide timely feedback, and support student improvement.
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment with high expectations for learning, behaviour, and presentation.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, moderation, and shared resource development within the faculty.
  • Engage positively with parents/guardians and contribute to the broader life of the school (pastoral care, co-curricular involvement as suited).

Skills & Experience (Essential)

  • Queensland Teacher Registration
  • Demonstrated success teaching Mathematics in a secondary setting.
  • Strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to design sequenced lessons that build conceptual understanding and procedural fluency.
  • Effective classroom management and a student-centred approach to learning.
  • High-quality communication, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset.
  • 2 x References within the last 5 years (most recent and relevant).

Desirable

  • Ability to teach one or more senior subjects (e.g, Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, General Mathematics).
  • Experience supporting extension pathways, competitions, tutoring programs, or enrichment initiatives.
  • Familiarity with data-informed teaching, common assessment, and moderation processes within a high-performing faculty.
