Occupational Therapist - Paediatrics
Speech Pathologist - Paediatrics

We are seeking a paediatric Allied Health professional to join the ECEI approach team as a Practice Team Lead, responsible for leading a group of motivated Early Years Specialist comprised of allied health professionals, social workers, and inclusive education specialists assisting families gain access to the NDIS and providing early intervention services.

The successful appointment will

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in allied health, Speech pathology or Occupational Therapy

  • Hold current registration with either AHPRA or SPA

  • Demonstrate previous experience working with children and families

  • Show experience working with developmental delays / disabilities

  • Experience leading a team

  • Confirm willingness to complete references, police check, NDIS checks

The role
The Early Childhood Approach Practice Team lead will form part of the leadership team overseeing a group of motivated Early Years Specialists.

  • Design and oversee evidence-based early intervention support offerings, including parent education workshops, playgroups, and capacity-building programs to support children to achieve their goals.

  • Support, mentor and provide clinical supervision to allied health team members including new graduates

  • lead consistency of practice across the team through a range of activities including practice forums, identifying professional development opportunities and developing tools to support practice

  • Responsible for keeping up to date with current best practice models and changes to the NDIS legislation

  • Practice-related supervisory responsibility for Early Years Specialists, providing feedback to staff, allocating and monitoring team workloads

  • Collaborate with their Regional Lead as well as the Senior Practice Lead

Who you'll be working with

The Early Childhood Approach team at EACH is a group of committed allied health professionals, teachers, social workers, and educators. We Partner with the NDIS to support families and children with developmental delays and disabilities to access early intervention that will help them to develop the skills they need to take part in everyday activities and to be included in family and community life.

The position will report to the Early Childhood Approach Regional Lead and will have approximately 10 direct reports. They will work closely with the other 8 ECEI Practice Team Leads and the ECEI Senior Practice Lead.
