Tradewind Australia is partnering with an Independent K-12 school in North-Western Sydney, seeking a passionate and dynamic Teacher Librarian to join their team in a full-time role from term 2 until the end of the year.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in fostering a culture of reading, inquiry, and lifelong learning within a large school community.
The Role
As Teacher Librarian, you will support and enhance student learning through effective library management and the delivery of engaging, future-focused library services. You will work collaboratively with staff and students to promote literacy, information skills, and digital fluency across all year levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and manage high-quality library and information services
- Promote a strong culture of reading, inquiry, and research skills
- Support the integration of information literacy across the curriculum
- Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance learning outcomes
- Manage digital resources and library systems effectively
About You
- Relevant teaching qualifications with current NESA accreditation
- Qualified Teacher Librarian (or currently working towards)
- Strong understanding of information literacy and inquiry-based learning
- Confident using digital technologies and library systems
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to contribute to a values-driven educational environment
