Location: Northern Region - Fairfield
Employment Type: Full-Time | 12-month contract (with potential for extension)
Classification: SCHADS Award 2010 - Level 4.1
Salary: $88,000 - $94,000 + super + salary packaging
Identified Role: Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander women only under Section 28 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010.
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander woman to join as a Northern Outreach Case Manager based at Fairfield. This role provides trauma-informed, culturally appropriate case management to Aboriginal women and their children experiencing family violence. You'll deliver crisis intervention, risk assessments, safety and case planning, housing advocacy, court support, and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic, strengths-based case management support
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning
- Assist clients to access safe and secure housing
- Provide court support and facilitate referrals to other services
- Maintain accurate case notes and contribute to program reporting
Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in family violence or social services
- Understanding of family violence dynamics and its impact on Aboriginal women and children
- Ability to provide culturally safe, client-centred case management
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Full Victorian Driver's License
- Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and Police Check
Preferred: Experience in a family violence support role
Familiarity with SHIP database and SAAP-funded program reporting
