๐ŸŒฟ Lead, Support & Make Change - Aboriginal Identified Roles in Family Violence Services

Relocation Support Provided | Full-Time | SCHADS Level 6+ (Leadership), Level 5 (Practitioner), Level 4 (Support)

Are you an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander practitioner or leader ready for your next opportunity? Tradewind is partnering with leading family violence services to recruit for Aboriginal Identified roles across Victoria that centre cultural safety, healing, and strong community connection.

๐Ÿ–ค About the Opportunities
We're currently recruiting for three key Aboriginal Identified roles:

1. Team Leader (Leadership Role) - SCHADS Level 6+
Provide cultural and operational leadership to a small team responding to family violence. You'll guide service delivery, embed culturally safe practice, and support your team to walk alongside Aboriginal families with care and respect.

2. Practitioner - Intake & Assessment - SCHADS Level 5
Be the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking support. You'll complete intake and assessment, offer short-term safety planning and referrals, and ensure every response is culturally informed and trauma-aware.

3. Support Worker - SCHADS Level 4
Assist families with practical support, advocacy, and connection to services. This role offers the chance to make a real difference while developing your skills in family violence response and culturally safe practice.

๐ŸŒ Why Consider These Roles?
These positions offer the chance to:

  • Join a committed, culturally strong family violence service

  • Make a real difference in the lives of Aboriginal women, children, and families

  • Access relocation support to help with moving costs and accommodation

  • Work across Victoria - regional, metro, and metro-fringe locations available

  • Grow your career in a sector where Aboriginal voices and leadership are valued

โœจ What You'll Bring

  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

  • Experience in family violence, child and family services, or similar community roles

  • Deep cultural knowledge, a trauma-informed approach, and commitment to healing

  • Confidence working with multidisciplinary teams and systems

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent lived and professional experience

๐Ÿ’ธ What's on Offer

  • SCHADS Level 4, 5, or 6+ depending on experience and role

  • Relocation support available for interstate applicants

  • A culturally safe and inclusive workplace

  • Ongoing training, mentoring, and leadership development

  • A long-term pathway in Australia's family violence sector

๐Ÿ“ฉ Interested in a Yarn?
If you're open to relocating and want to step into a role where your cultural identity and experience are respected, we'd love to hear from you.
