The Opportunity
This is a newly created executive role within a respected not-for-profit aged care and retirement living provider. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director, Business Operations will be instrumental in shaping the future direction of the organisation. With a strong emphasis on financial leadership, this position offers the rare chance to build, influence, and embed new ways of working across corporate and operational services.
The Role
As Director, Business Operations, you will:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across finance, HR, administration, infrastructure, and enterprise services.
- Take ownership of financial management, budgeting, compliance reporting, and governance frameworks.
- Lead organisational readiness for sector reforms and drive operational excellence across aged care and retirement living.
- Partner with the CEO and Board on strategic initiatives, reporting, and long-term planning.
- Mentor and lead diverse teams while embedding a culture of accountability and improvement.
Due to the regional location of this position, short-term accomodation options can be considered for candidates who are willing to live away from home during the week.
About You
You will bring a strong finance background and proven executive or senior leadership experience. Specifically, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance (preferred) or Business, with deep financial management expertise.
- A track record of leading corporate services and/or operations at scale.
- Experience in aged care, health, or not-for-profit sectors
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence in engaging Boards, regulators, and senior leadership.
- A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to balance strategic priorities and operational delivery.
