Job Description
This full time position is hands-on, meaningful, and focused on empowering people to overcome barriers, secure safe housing, and build brighter futures. Provide compassionate, end-to-end case management for individuals and families facing homelessness or at risk of losing their home.
With an interesting/flexible roster of 10 hour shifts:
Managing 8-10 cases over 4 days on, 3 days off/ 1 month of week days / 1 month of weekends
Hourly base rate = $39.05 + penalty rates, salary sacrifice, and 5 weeks of annual leave (with leave loading)
Conveniently located in Brisbane CBD
Minimum salary $77,000, with penalties across the flexible roster
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full client journey from intake to exit with empathy and professionalism
- Deliver holistic case management, advocacy, and referral services using Specialist Homelessness databases
- Provide practical support to clients facing complex challenges
- Work closely with community stakeholders to secure safe and sustainable accommodation for clients
- Empower clients to build the skills needed to sustain current and future tenancies
What You'll Bring:
✔ Minimum of Cert III in Community Services (or related field)
✔ Experience in the homelessness or community services sector
✔ Knowledge of legislation and best practices relating to homelessness support
✔ Case management and advocacy skills
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
✔ Excellent time management, interpersonal, and communication skills
✔ Respectful, compassionate approach to supporting individuals facing hardship
✔ Ability to uphold client confidentiality and professional boundaries
Blue Card, Police check and Australian drivers licence required
