About the Role:

Tradewind is seeking experienced Case Managers for a unique working experience in Alice Springs and NPY Lands. The Child and Family Wellbeing Case Manager will provide client-centred, therapeutic, trauma-informed case management with families who are at risk of entering, or are already within, the child protection system. You will work with families and/or carers towards preservation or reunification goals, increasing their capacity to care for their children. This role requires frequent outreach to remote communities in NPY lands.

Key Duties:

  • ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง Deliver end-to-end family-oriented, client-centred, and culturally appropriate case management.
  • ๐Ÿซ Provide or facilitate education, training, advocacy, community initiatives, and practical supports to families and carers that meet their needs and goals.
  • ๐Ÿ‘ฅ Work in a Malparara (together/side by side) partnership with an Anangu (Aboriginal) worker.
  • ๐Ÿค Develop and maintain partnerships with relevant organisation staff such as Aboriginal Legal Services, Police Services, and Child Protection Departments Workers.
  • ๐Ÿ“‹ Administer and maintain accurate records, data collections, and reports as required by the funding.

Skills & Experience:

  • ๐ŸŽ“ A tertiary or diploma qualification in Social Work, Community Services, or a related field.
  • ๐Ÿงฉ Proven case management experience.
  • ๐Ÿง  Extensive knowledge and professional experience working with children and families, and trauma-informed practice.
  • ๐ŸŒ An understanding of the issues that affect the wellbeing of Aboriginal people in remote communities and an ability to work cross-culturally in partnership with Anangu staff.
  • ๐Ÿž๏ธ Demonstrated ability to work in a remote community or setting where flexibility and extensive travel is required.

  • ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ Willingness to undergo a Police Check
