Job Description

Overview
This is a values-driven clinical role supporting people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, many of whom have experienced forced displacement, trauma, or systemic barriers. As a Clinician, you'll provide evidence-based psychological assessments and therapy in a trauma-informed and recovery-oriented framework.

You'll work alongside case managers and other professionals to deliver flexible, person-centred interventions and play a key role in improving mental health outcomes for vulnerable clients.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support & Therapeutic Intervention

  • Conduct psychological assessments focused on cognitive, emotional, and behavioural health
  • Deliver evidence-based individual and group interventions (face-to-face and via telehealth)
  • Provide tailored clinical recommendations and treatment planning
  • Monitor client outcomes and adjust approaches in line with recovery goals

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Work closely with GPs, health services, and case management teams to support coordinated care
  • Provide clinical guidance to support staff in relation to behaviour management and client care strategies

Reporting & Case Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes, care plans, and reports
  • Ensure client information systems are updated in accordance with legislation and best practice

Organisational Contribution

  • Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and client empowerment
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients is prioritised in all areas of service delivery
  • Uphold the organisation's values through daily interactions and decisions

What We're Looking For

Essential Criteria

  • Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
  • Experience delivering clinical or forensic psychological services
  • Demonstrated ability to work across outreach settings, including telehealth and rural or remote hubs
  • Capacity to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality client care
  • Strong cultural awareness and experience working with people from refugee and migrant backgrounds
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills
  • Current driver's licence
