About the Role:

We are recruiting for a Curriculum Mentor to work across 20+ Early Childhood sites across New South Wales on a 12 month fixed term contract.

We are working with an Early Childhood Specialist Company who are seeking a Curriculum Mentor who will work as part of the Quality and Curriculum team to inspire, mentor and lead pedagogical practice across 20+ centres and teams. You will work collaboratively with the Network team to support current centre priorities in a strategic, planned and purposeful way. You will contribute to achieving the outcomes of broader company initiatives and projects and support the successful implementation and communication of these initiatives to the network. Working with other Curriculum Mentors and Curriculum Leads, you will support, mentor and lead the professional learning and development of Educational Leaders as well as working closely with Centre Leadership Teams to drive quality improvement in both programs and practice. You will contribute to the development of support tools and resources for centre teams and work in partnership with other business functions where relevant. As a leader, you will understand and develop your work to support the 6 business pillars and role-model and advocate the company purpose, mindsets and guiding principles in all areas of your work.



Key duties:

  • Proactively drive and contribute innovatively to the success and implementation of curriculum priorities through working in a focussed, collaborative partnership with the Quality and Curriculum and Network teams
  • Advocate and lead company initiatives through providing support for centre teams through in-centre visits, mentoring, role-modelling, guidance and empowering teams to build their capacity
  • Contribute to and deliver strategic direction, tools, resources, professional learning and support for centre teams which drive improvements in pedagogical practice through centre ownership and autonomy
  • Contribute to inspiring, supporting, mentoring, coaching and leading a network of Educational Leaders through meeting rhythms, in-centre support, advocacy and practical strategies which deliver professional learning and support retention
  • Successfully build relationships, awareness and engagement with internal and external stakeholders which focus on achieving agreed outcomes
  • Be a visible presence and advocate for curriculum initiatives



Skills & Experience:

  • University degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Sound experience in the Early Childhood sector, preferably in a leadership or mentoring role (5+ years)
  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple, complex sites preferred

  • Strong pedagogical understanding and practice
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills which support engagement, influencing others and working in partnerships
  • Ability to prioritise, organise, and develop strategies across a broad range of diverse stakeholders which build capacity in others
  • Ability to think innovatively, analyse and solve problems and contribute collaboratively to effective, practical strategies and solutions
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to contribute to content, support tools and resources
  • Confidence, leadership skills and ability to advocate through both internal and external forums
