About the Role:
Tradewind is looking for a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Co-Educator to join a vibrant team at a peaceful and welcoming centre in Brookfield, Melbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, Cert III or Diploma ECE qualified educator who is passionate about the development of young learners and working alongside strong, effective teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as an Early Childhood Educator, outstanding interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional care and education within a supportive and thriving environment.
This role is permanent and requires a minimum of 3 days per week availability
Key duties:
- Work as part of a team, ensuring the provision of high-quality care and educational experiences for all children
- Support all operations in the room including educational program, routines and compliance
- Foster a collaborative approach to continuously enhance and embed best practices across the service
- Cultivate strong, inclusive relationships with children to support their growth and achievement of key learning and development outcomes
- Build supportive and open partnerships with families to ensure clear communication and mutual understanding of expectations and needs
- Contribute to the implementation and ongoing improvement of quality practices in alignment with the National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Promote and ensure inclusivity, providing tailored support for children with diverse learning needs.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience working with young children in an Early Childhood setting or Kindergarten
- Ability to build strong, respectful relationships with children and support their individual needs
- Familiar with the National and Victorian Early Years Learning Frameworks
- Good communicator with parents, staff and other professionals
- Committed to learning, growing, and improving in the role
Requirements:
- Cert III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or similar ACECQA approved qualification)
- Experience in a similar position within an Early Childhood Centre or Kindergarten
- Proven ability to model positive and appropriate behaviours when engaging with children
- Current First Aid, CPR Anaphylaxis, Asthma
- Current Mandatory Reporting for Early Years
- Valid Working with Children's Check
- Valid Criminal Records Check
- The right to work in Australia
