About the Role:

Tradewind Australia | Early Learning| Durack Heights - Northern Territory

Tradewind Australia is seeking a passionate and fully qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join a purpose-built Early Learning Centre in Durack Heights, Darwin. This is a permanent, full-time position, available for an immediate start.

The centre offers state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor learning environments designed to inspire children from 6 weeks to 6 years, with a capacity of 66 places. You'll be part of a values-driven team that fosters strong connections with families and the local community, blending modern facilities with a genuine sense of belonging.

Key duties:

  • Design, implement, and evaluate high-quality, engaging educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • Facilitate play-based learning experiences tailored to each child's interests, strengths, and developmental stage
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment by maintaining high standards of hygiene and care
  • Document and reflect on children's learning and progress using effective observation and assessment strategies
  • Foster strong, respectful partnerships with children, families, and the wider community
  • Actively contribute to team discussions, planning sessions, and community initiatives
  • Participate in continuous professional development and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Graduate Diploma, or Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved)
  • Proven experience working in an Australian-based Early Learning setting
  • Current Working with Children Check (Ochre Card)
  • Approved First Aid Certificate including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Sound knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer and documentation skills
  • Current legal working rights in Australia

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher in an approved Australian Early Learning setting
  • A collaborative and flexible approach to teaching
  • Strong pedagogical knowledge and commitment to professional growth
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with children, colleagues, and families
  • Passion for delivering high-quality early learning in a community environment
