Tradewind Australia partners with aged care providers across Victoria, recruiting for not-for-profit, private and government organisations. We are currently working with a well-established not-for-profit that supports older people and their families.

A rare and rewarding opportunity exists for an experienced and visionary leader to join a respected not-for-profit organisation as the Executive Manager - Residential Services. You will play a key leadership role guiding two residential aged care homes in Melbourne's Eastern suburbs through a dynamic period of reform, growth and innovation.

About the role

As the Executive Manager - Residential Services, you will report directly to the CEO and lead all aspects of operations across two co-located aged care homes including oversight of a 30-bed Memory Support Unit.

This role is ideal for a results-driven leader who combines strong commercial acumen with a genuine commitment to resident-centred care and high-quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across both homes ensuring consistently high standards of care, compliance and service
  • Drive growth initiatives including new models of care, portfolio expansion and revenue diversification
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team including Clinical Care Managers, administrative, support staff and allied health professionals
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and excellence in care quality through continuous improvement and innovation
  • Maintain strong financial oversight including resource utilisation, budgeting and funding processes such as AN-ACC
  • Foster a culture of accountability, performance and respect across teams
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, residents and families

You'll be responsible for

  • Overseeing clinical governance and aged care quality standards
  • Leading strategic planning, budget management and facility performance
  • Implementing contemporary care models aligned with aged care reforms
  • Managing workforce planning, rostering and staff development
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards
  • Presenting reports and insights to the CEO and Board

What we're looking for

  • AHPRA-registered Registered Nurse (mandatory)
  • Business or Management qualification (highly desirable)
  • Senior leadership experience within residential aged care ideally across multiple sites
  • Proven success in leading strategic growth, operational efficiency and quality improvement
  • Strong understanding of aged care reforms, compliance, AN-ACC and funding structures
  • Financial management skills and commercial acumen
  • High-level communication and relationship-building ability
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing, multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for innovation and continuous service improvement in aged care
