About the Role:

We're currently seeking passionate Early Childhood Educators (Cert III and Diploma Qualified) to join the Early Learning team at an Early Learning Centre in Mordialloc. The centre is part of an innovative multi-generational site, boasting state-of-the-art facilities, including Residential Aged Care, Primary Care, a Health hub, Community Cafe, and The Early Learning Centre.

We have full-time opportunities available for Educators to join the baby room team, with roles starting as soon as possible and interviews happening imminently. As part of a team of dedicated Early Childhood Educators, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality education and care that prioritises the safety, participation, wellbeing, and empowerment of children. You'll work in alignment with the EYFS curriculum and National Quality Standards (NQF).

Key duties:

  • Support learning activities aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Provide assistance and care for children in the centre, including infants aged 0-2 years.
  • Assist in delivering an inter-generational program.
  • Assess and provide feedback on student progress as needed.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive environment throughout the centre.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for infants, fostering their learning and growth.
  • Foster strong relationships with children and families, encouraging open communication.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging environment that promotes infants' well-being.
  • Document children's progress and development for individualized support.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care.

Skills & Experience:

  • Certificate III or Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (required).
  • Previous experience working with infants in an early childhood education setting (preferred).
  • Sound knowledge of child development principles and best practices in infant care and education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid Working with Children Check and Police Check.
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student teacher mentors are acceptable).

Desired Skills & Experience:
Previous experience as an Early Childhood Educator will be desirable.
