Salary: $73,000 - $95,400 + super + vehicle reimbursement
Grade 2 Paediatric Occupational therapist
- Work in a clinic (70%) and community (30%) setting
- Group & Individual therapy + Research and project work available
Tradewind Australia are seeking Grade 2 Occupational Therapists to join an organisation that makes sure all Australians presenting with disabilities and mental health issues are engaged with their communities.
The organisation
The organisation was founded over 50 years ago by families who wanted better support for their children and are now one of the largest not-for-profit disability service providers in Australia. They support thousands of people with complex intellectual, physical and dual disabilities. You would be part of a team that includes specialists in communication, positive behaviour support & other programs.
The role
- Plan and deliver effective occupational therapy supports for paediatrics with a disability or developmental delay
- Improve outcomes, identify needs, reflect and respect client priorities
- Build on client strengths & build capacity by empowering families and friends
- Provide clinic (70%) and community (30%) based therapy / intervention
- Create and deliver individual and group therapy / intervention
- Help children achieve their goals
The Suitable Candidate Will Be/Have
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with AHPRA
- Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working with paediatrics with disabilities (physical / intellectual) and development delays
- Current Victorian driver's license
- Have permanent working rights within Australia
- Willing to undergo a police check, working with children check & DWES check
