Job Description

Our mission is to empower individuals through advocacy, education, and support. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Head of Disability Services to lead our initiatives and ensure we provide the highest level of support to our community.

Position Overview: As the Head of Disability Services, you will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of our programs and services aimed at supporting individuals with disabilities. You will work collaboratively with staff, community partners, and stakeholders to advocate for accessibility, inclusion, and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the disability team to deliver excellent client-centred services, that ensure optimised outcomes for participants.
  • Assist service and administrative staff to ensure rosters reflect client support plans, needs, choices, funding, and budgets.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with Disability Services KPIs as set out, but not limited to, the organization's business plan.
  • Ensure systems, policies, and procedures are compliant, and meet governance requirements.
  • Ensure NDIS Audits and Accreditation renewals are completed successfully.
  • Ensure that disability services are valued by participants, their families, stakeholders, and the broader community.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and/or Management or a related field.
  • Advanced understanding knowledge of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Practice Standards and Quality Indicators.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience at a leadership level within a Disability and Community sector setting.
