Health and Safety Business Partner - Community Health
Inner Melbourne - Some Hybrid opportunity
$95-105K + Super + NFP Salary packaging

Step into a newly refreshed leadership-level Health & Safety role in one of Victoria's most dynamic community environments. This is more than a compliance position - it's your chance to drive strategic safety culture in a progressive organisation delivering essential healthcare and social support services across diverse, high-needs communities.
You'll be the go-to expert, leading proactive WHS initiatives and partnering with senior stakeholders across medical, outreach, and community-based programs - including work that intersects with public health, justice, and harm reduction. This role is ideal for a seasoned HSE leader ready to influence organisational culture and system-wide safety performance.
THE ROLE
- Partner with executive and frontline leaders to uplift WHS systems, culture, and strategic capability
- Champion OHS and occupational violence prevention across healthcare and high-risk service settings
- Lead investigations, WHS audits, and incident response with a people-centred lens
- Support complex injury management and return-to-work strategies alongside People & Culture
- Build a tailored WHS management system that reflects legal and community realities
- Leading the coordination and continuous improvement of OHS and Occupational Violence & Aggression (OVA) strategies across all service areas.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Formal OHS qualifications and deep experience in community health, justice or complex service environments
- Proven success influencing organisational safety culture and leading WHS strategy
- A hands-on approach to risk, return-to-work and injury management
- Strong stakeholder communication and the ability to coach managers across levels
- An appetite to drive change, reduce risk, and make a social impact
- Current Working With Children Check, National Police Check, Driver's Licence
