Job Description

Tradewind Australia is working in partnership with Windermere, an independent community service organisation, working across south-east Victoria to help those who need it most.

Windermere's community-based childcare services are committed to providing quality education and care that supports positive early learning opportunities for all families in our communities. Fundamental to their framework is a view of children's lives as characterised by being, belonging and becoming.

About the opportunity:

Overseeing the full spectrum of both the Early Learning Centre (ELC) and Family Day Care (FDC) function, the Manager of Early Childhood Education & Care (ECECS) is responsible for managing the operational and strategic needs of the programs to ensure high quality and outcomes-focused services that are compliant with relevant regulatory and legislative requirements. Furthermore, you will utilise your strong business acumen, creativity and innovation in evolving the Out of School Hours program as well as being a positive and encouraging advocate for change.

To be considered for this role, you will possess highly developed organisational skills and people management skills including conflict resolution, team building and the provision of coaching, support and direction to staff. You will demonstrate high levels of emotional intelligence and the ability to inspire and motivate others in times of rapid change, responding to varying issues in a consistent manner and exercising maturity of judgement and sound problem-solving capability.

This is a rare opportunity to provide transformational leadership to a highly engaged and motivated team of professionals and contribute to the achievement of Windermere's 2020 - 2023 Strategic Plan.

Why Windermere?

Windermere fosters a culture of flexibility, support and wellbeing. They have a wide range of workplace benefits including:

  • Flexible work hours
  • Gifted days off (between Christmas / New Year), rostered days off, study leave and 17.5% annual leave loading
  • Flexible Leave Scheme (51/52)
  • Generous salary packaging and the opportunity for professional development.
