๐ฐ Salary: SCHADS Level 5.1-5.3 ($100-105k +super & salary packaging)
We are seeking an experienced Men's Family Violence Case Manager to provide crucial, wrap around support to men from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island communities who have been identified as using or been impacted by family violence.
About the Role
The Men's Case Manager delivers culturally appropriate outreach to Aboriginal men referred to the program, supporting them to identify safety and support needs, develop personal plans, and access services that promote behaviour change and accountability for violence. The role includes conducting family violence risk assessments, ensuring immediate safety for families, and maintaining ongoing analysis of risk and wellbeing. It requires building strong relationships with family violence services, men's behaviour change programs, and other agencies to enable multidisciplinary interventions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver culturally safe outreach and case management to Aboriginal men referred to the program, tailored to their needs and circumstances.
- Support clients to identify priorities and develop personal plans that enhance safety and wellbeing for themselves and their families.
- Coordinate access to services and resources that encourage behaviour change and personal accountability for the use of violence.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with family violence services, men's behaviour change programs, and other community and government agencies to deliver integrated support.
- Engage in supervision, training, and professional development to strengthen skills and practice capability.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of contemporary Aboriginal culture and the impacts of intergenerational trauma, particularly regarding the role of men within the family unit.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or significant, demonstrable experience in a related field.
- Experience in the family violence sector or a related area of work.
- Proven experience in case management or coordination with Aboriginal men or families.
