Job Description
Are you passionate about teaching music? Tradewind are working with a well-respected Special Education school in Castle Hill who are looking for a K-12 Music teacher to join their team. Join this independent, co-educational Catholic school in an ongoing position starting in term 3. This is a part-time position of 3 days per week.
Demonstrated Experience and Skills
- Appropriate qualifications and demonstrated expertise in music education
- Sound knowledge of special education evidence-based practices and pedagogy
- Desire to work as part of the faculty and wider school team
- Flexibility to respond to a dynamic learning environment
- Evidence of a relational approach to colleagues, students, and parents
- Effective organisation and ability to fulfil administrative and assessment requirements of a teaching role
- Excellent communication skills
- An ability to organise and direct learning support officers
- Willingness to uphold the Catholic and Edmund Rice ethos of the School
Successful applicants require:
- Completed relevant qualifications in education
- Maintain a valid and up-to-date NESA accreditation
- Have a valid WWCC for employment purposes
- Have working rights in Australia
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years.
