Job Description

The role

  • You will split your time between clinical interventions with an adult caseload and capacity building in schools
  • Informing and supporting teachers on how best to support primary & secondary aged children presenting with disabilities and/or developmental delays.
  • Capacity building, working with support workers in accommodation and other community settings
  • Split between working in schools, clinic & some outreach
  • Great opportunity for someone that has a passion for capacity building with schools and support workers, but also wants to maintain the client-facing clinical aspect
  • Working in a person-centred approach to help identify needs, and build on peoples strengths to help them achieve their goals

The suitable candidate will be/have:

  • Degree qualified in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with AHPRA
  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience working with adults and/or children presenting with a disability / developmental delay / psychosocial diagnosis
  • Current Victorian driver's license
  • Have permanent working rights within Australia
  • Willing to undergo a police check, working with children check & DWES check
