Permanent Part Time OSH Coordinator - Sassafras, VIC

Job Summary: Tradewind Australia is seeking an Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Coordinator for a lovely, small provision in Sassafras, for a permanent part time position, working 3-6pm weekdays.

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced OSHC Coordinator to lead an Out of School Hours Care program for a lovely, small service in the beautiful location of Sassafras, within the Dandenong Ranges. This role is leading the OSHC provision 5 days a week from 3-6pm with a very small cohort of children across Prep - Grade 6. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the program, including supervision, child safety, curriculum development, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.


This role is permanent part time - Monday - Friday 3-6pm daily.


Key duties:

  • Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities and programs that promote children's learning and development, including both indoor and outdoor activities
  • Lead, support, and motivate a team of educators to deliver high-quality care and experiences for children.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment where all children feel valued, respected, and supported.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, schools, and the broader community.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including National Quality Framework (NQF) standards.
  • Oversee administrative tasks such as rostering, budget management, record keeping and performing the role of Nominated Supervisor.


Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum requirement of an ACECQA approved Diploma of Children's Services or Early Childhood
  • Prior experience as a Coordinator of an OSHC provision
  • Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
  • Do Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Mandatory Reporting for Early Years Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Hold a current Employee Working with Children Check and Police Check (or be willing to obtain one)
