About the Organisation:
A respected Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation supporting Aboriginal women and their children through culturally safe, holistic family violence services. With decades of experience, this organisation provides high-security refuge, outreach, housing, counselling, and court support. Their work also extends to women navigating the justice system and those in transition or returning to community following incarceration.

About the Role:
This organisation is currently seeking two experienced and passionate Outreach Case Managers to support Aboriginal women and children who are experiencing or recovering from family violence, including those involved with the criminal justice system or transitioning from custody.

  • Northern Region - based in Fairfield
  • Western Region - based in Melton

These roles provide trauma-informed, strengths-based case management, supporting women with crisis intervention, housing advocacy, community reintegration, and connection to culturally safe services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver holistic case management with a focus on cultural safety and justice
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safety and wellbeing plans
  • Advocate for access to housing, justice support, and therapeutic services
  • Support women in or exiting the justice system to safely transition back to community
  • Provide court support and coordinate service referrals
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to service outcomes

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in family violence or social services
  • Strong understanding of family violence impacts on Aboriginal women, including those involved in justice settings
  • Experience delivering culturally responsive and client-centred support
  • Capacity to work autonomously and manage priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Effective communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Victorian Driver's Licence
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Check

Preferred:

  • Experience working with Aboriginal women in the family violence or justice sector
  • Familiarity with SHIP database and SAAP-funded program reporting
