About the Role:
Tradewind is excited to partner with a vibrant F-9 school in Point Cook, in Melbourne's west, to recruit a dedicated teacher for a full-time, ongoing role starting in Term 3, 2025.
This opportunity is ideal for someone eager to make an impact in a middle to upper primary classroom. Key duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum
- Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
- Design and administer assessments, to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
- Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.
Skills & Experience:
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Must have VIT registration or are in the process of obtaining this
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary in Australia/NZ/Placement experience essential
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
