Program Manager AOD Service Based in Mackay

... Then our new AOD facility in Mackay is looking for a Program manager like you!

As a Program Manager you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of your Program. A key deliverable of this role is the responsibility for service delivery, accountability for program outcomes and responsibility for the management and outputs of employees within the line management chain.

You will need to work within relevant funding guidelines and agreements, legislative requirements and the organisation's policies and procedures while efficiently managing financial, human and operational resources. This role works in collaboration with Program Managers of the organisation's AOD services across the state and in partnership with the range of support services within the service network.

To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) or related fields. Graduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • Previous experience in role of a similar nature, including responsibility for the management and operational outcomes of a program, service or division
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills, including human resources and financial management, quality assurance, risk management, WH&S and reporting
  • Proven organizational skills in managing and prioritising multiple tasks through adept efficiency tools and/or IT skills
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practice, including the ability to work within national & state-level AOD strategies, relevant funding guidelines and legislative requirements relating to the delivery of program outcomes, safety and risk
  • Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the organisation and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the company

  • Experience and proficiency in change management and operational systems as we are moving to a new facility
