About the Organisation:
A leading healthcare provider is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychologist to support residents in aged care and patients within the community. This organisation is known for delivering high-quality, integrated care, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and respect.
About the Role:
As a Psychologist, you will provide psychological support across aged care and community settings in the Geelong region. The role includes individual and group therapy, comprehensive assessments, and development of tailored treatment plans. You'll also help design and implement therapeutic activities that promote cognitive stimulation, social connection, and emotional wellbeing.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contribute to staff education, and support the overall mental wellbeing of clients through both direct care and program development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and develop treatment plans
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions
- Provide staff training and consultation on mental health issues
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and reports
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care
- Develop mental health programs tailored to the needs of older adults
- Respond to queries from residents, families, and staff regarding psychological services
- Support safety and wellbeing through compliance with health and safety procedures
Key Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology
- AHPRA registration (or working towards registration)
- Experience in clinical settings is preferred
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions
- Understanding of aged care and community mental health needs
- Up-to-date COVID-19 and flu vaccinations
- Satisfactory background checks

- Strong assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning skills
- Proficiency in CBT, DBT, and other relevant modalities
- High ethical standards and professional integrity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage stress and maintain professional boundaries
