Job Description

Organisation:

This not for profit was originally founded by mothers of children with disabilities and developmental delays, the organisation has never lost sight of the reason it was for. Based in a newly renovated service, allied health professionals provide early intervention services to children from 0 - 18 years with a disability and/or developmental delay, in partnership with their families. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the experienced staff of Therapists includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and Dietitians.

The role:

We are seeking a Psychologist to join a diverse team of allied health professionals. In this role you will:

  • Plan and evaluate family centred and strengths based intervention
  • Deliver therapy to children and families from 0 to school aged children with disabilities
  • Provide mentorship and supervision to the team (Currently 2 Psychologists)
  • Build Psychology services with families focussing on family / client strengths
  • Ensure a culturally inclusive environment to enhance participation
  • Ensure compliance with duty of care to clients

Requirements:

The successful applicant should hold:

  • Degree or Masters in Psychology
  • Registration with AHPRA
  • Experience working with children and families in Psychology
  • A commitment to family centred therapy approach
