SCHADS 7 Leadership role with salary package, sign on bonus, and $2500 above award allowance.
Are you an experienced leader in family law, dispute resolution, or community services who is ready to take on a pivotal regional role? We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee a suite of family and relationship services across the Townsville and Mount Isa regions. This role offers the opportunity to guide dedicated teams, shape service delivery, and make a tangible difference in the lives of families.
About the Role
In this senior leadership position, you'll be responsible for ensuring high-quality, client-focused services are delivered across multiple programs. You'll bring both strategic insight and hands-on expertise, balancing governance and compliance with a compassionate, practical approach to supporting families.
Your work will include:
- Overseeing a portfolio of services, including family relationship and dispute resolution programs.
- Providing leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary team across regional locations.
- Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, including the Family Law Act 1975 and related regulations.
- Delivering (or supporting delivery of) family dispute resolution, case management, and client-centred practice.
- Driving program development, evaluation, and service innovation to meet community needs.
- Building strong community and professional networks to enhance program reach and impact.
- Supporting business development activities, including identifying funding opportunities.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Law, Family Dispute Resolution, or Mediation.
- Accreditation (or eligibility) as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in family law, children and family services, or related practice areas.
- A track record of program leadership, staff management, and service delivery innovation.
- Strong understanding of child-focused practice, conflict resolution models, and family systems.
- A current driver's licence and ability to obtain relevant clearances (Blue Card, Disability Worker Screening).
Desirable:
- Experience leading teams in regional or remote service environments.
- Understanding of family functioning in diverse cultural and social contexts.
- Knowledge of family violence legislation and service frameworks.
