Case Manager / House Manager role within a Not for profit organisation in Townsville

Our client is looking for suitable candidates for this key frontline management position to oversee one residential program and manage a team of Residential Youth Workers.

About the Role:

  • Permanent leadership role based in Townsville
  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday roster
  • Relocation assistance for eligible candidates

  • Salary base $93,858 per annum + super
  • Not-for-profit salary packaging options to increase take home pay (package up to $15,900 per FBT year)

Key responsibilities of the House Manager:

  • Manage and oversee the day to day running of the program
  • Ensure that the program provides trauma informed therapeutic care to young people within a safe, clean and hygienic environment.
  • Ensure the program adheres to all reporting and documentation requirements
  • Write Safety Plans and contribute to Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Attend critical appointments with young people and facilitate/attend relevant meetings.
  • Manage positive relationships with all stakeholders
  • Complete rosters that reflect smart rostering and industrial compliance
  • Plan and conduct developmentally appropriate individual and group activities consistent with meeting the young people's needs and goals in line with Case Plans
  • Contribute to efficient and comprehensive on boarding, induction and training of new staff
  • Provide leadership and management to all staff including supervision and development

Requirements for the role:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, Diploma level or higher
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to motivate and empower a team to achieve positive outcomes
  • Experience working in a leadership position in a similar field
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices
  • Sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle crisis situations calmly and effectively
  • Exceptional time management and prioritisation skills
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining program compliance
  • Passion for working in a residential care setting
  • A continuous learning mindset

Must hold or be willing to obtain if successful:

  • Valid Queensland driver's license with no restrictions
  • QLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
  • Licensed Care Suitability Check (LCS2)
  • National Crime Check
