Job Description
A broad outline of the responsibilities:
- Maintain the organisation risk management framework including risk registers
- Ensure all actions from the risk register is recorded in the Continuous Improvement Register
- Support the organisation's WHS Representatives by offering guidance and specialist advice and ensuring they receive required training (e.g. fire warden awareness training)
- Attend and support WHS Representatives meetings and provide feedback and outcomes to the Management Team
- Provide guidance and monitor the provision and maintenance of safe workplaces and practices
- Collaborate with teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Review, create and implement risk management specific policies and procedures
- Maintain the organisation's not-for-profit food certificate with South Burnett Regional Council and monitor and guide safe food practices across the organisation
- Lodge and manage insurance claims with broker and providers
- Provide support for strategic planning from a risk management perspective
- Support the Finance and Corporate Services Manager to maintain policies and procedures across the organisation and ensure a risk management lens is put across these
- Incident reporting management, including compliance with reporting to external regulators as required under legislation
- Conduct incident investigations, reporting and root cause analysis
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with organisation requirements and legislation
- Ensure all CTC buildings have up to date evacuation diagrams and signage and undertake this work at new sites
- Lead, collaborate and support projects across the organisation using best practice project management methodologies, ensuring risks are managed appropriately
- Assist in any other tasks, within the scope of ability, as directed by the Finance and Corporate Services Manager and CEO
About you:
- Relevant Industry Experience/Licences/Qualifications (risk management, workplace health and safety, or ability to obtain)
- Demonstrated experience in risk management
- Experience and/or qualifications in the community services sector is desirable
- Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a heavy focus on stakeholder engagement
- Ability to prioritise resources and activities
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A high level of attention to detail, reliability and organisational skills
- Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Queensland Drivers Licence

- Licencing of Care Services Suitability Check
- Ability to meet and maintain any other current or future legislative benchmark requirements and government or organisation mandate
