Senior Communications Advisor



Carlton, VIC (Hybrid - 2-3 days in office) $80,000-$100,000 + Super + Salary Packaging 0.8 FTE - Full Time | Immediate Start

We're partnering with a purpose-driven organisation that takes a considered, practical approach to improving community health and wellbeing. Working as part of a tight-knit team of 12, you'll play a key role in delivering creative, purposeful campaigns and communications that amplify our impact across the community. You'll work closely with the Fundraising Lead and a network of freelancers and partners to coordinate projects, manage campaigns, and produce engaging content across multiple channels.

This is an exciting opportunity for a true all-rounder who's just as comfortable writing copy as they are coordinating a media pitch, managing a campaign timeline, or briefing creative partners.

THE ROLE

  • Coordinate and deliver multi-channel communications and campaign activities.
  • Manage relationships with freelancers, media contacts, and creative partners.
  • Develop engaging written and visual content for social, web, and media platforms.
  • Support event and fundraising communications.
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign performance to guide future activity.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • 4-6 years' experience in communications, campaigns, or marketing.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Mailchimp, WordPress, Google Analytics, or media monitoring software.
  • A flexible, hands-on approach and enthusiasm for working in a small, high-performing team.
  • Understanding of the Australian media and political landscape (advantageous).
