About the Role
Tradewind are seeking an experience Family Violence Practitioner to join and be part of an innovative model operating within the family violence space. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate closely with the NT Police, Department of Children and Families, and other key partners to deliver trauma-informed and culturally safe responses for women and children experiencing family violence, while holding perpetrators accountable.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in ensuring timely crisis responses, comprehensive risk assessments, and warm referrals to ongoing supports - all within a holistic, feminist and child-focused framework.
Key Responsibilities
Provide crisis intervention, risk and needs assessments, and safety planning.
Strengthen collaboration between police, child protection, and specialist services.
Build trust and rapport with victim-survivors to support engagement and safety.
Promote accountability for those using violence through integrated responses.
Provide expert guidance and co-case management for complex cases.
Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the service system.
You will bring:
Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
Minimum 3 years' experience in family violence or related services.
Strong case management and crisis intervention skills.
Ability to work effectively with police, statutory services, and community partners.
Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Experience in staff supervision or leadership is highly regarded.
