Job Overview:
This prominent government organization is looking for a painter for a five-month contract to start immediately. Your responsibilities will include manufacturing signs and banners, as well as using equipment related to signage. Ideally, you will have previous experience in manufacturing signs and banners and using equipment related to signage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain infrastructure by the relevant standards including the Building Maintenance Service Level Agreement.
- Complete all necessary records associated with the carrying out and completion of work.
- Provide advice and instruction to apprentices and supervise their training.
- Complete appropriate records in relation to the purchasing of materials and services and follow the provisions of Purchasing procedures.
- Carry out asset inspections on the business and record results. Store equipment, and materials securely.
- Report any loss or damage to plant, equipment, or materials on the appropriate forms.
- Remove graffiti from properties.
- Manufacture signs and banners in the sign shop.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum qualification for this position is a trade certificate
- Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship
- Class C Driver's Licence. Desirable
- Post Trade or Advanced Certificate in a related area.
