โณ Contract: Full-time, 12-month Fixed Term Contract (chance of extension for another 12-months)
๐ฐ Salary: SCHADS Level 5.1-5.2
About the Role
Provide intensive, culturally safe casework to women and children experiencing family violence. Based partly at the Orange Door in Werribee, you'll deliver risk assessments, safety planning, advocacy, and support through legal, housing, and child protection systems. This role works with diverse communities, addressing the intersection of culture, faith, and family violence, and requires strong human rights knowledge, complex case management skills, and a commitment to trauma-informed practice.
What You'll Be Doing
Deliver risk assessments, safety planning, and advocacy for women and children experiencing family violence. Support clients through legal, housing, financial, education, migration, health, and child protection processes. Build strong relationships with The Orange Door, community networks, and service providers to improve safety and outcomes. Maintain accurate records, contribute to service development and advocacy initiatives, and work within a collaborative, strengths-based, evidence-informed framework.
What We're Looking For
Female applicant who identifies as Muslim and understands the faith and community
Tertiary qualification in Social Work or related field
MARAM trained with knowledge of family violence services, including The Orange Door
- Minimum 2 years direct client facing work within Family Violence
Able to work respectfully and safely with both victim-survivors and people who use violence
