As the State Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for leading change management improvements across statewide AOD programs with identification and development of contemporary treatment and recovery approaches aligned to the organisation's AOD Model of Service, the National Quality Framework for Drug and Alcohol Treatment, and Queensland AOD Treatment and Harm Reduction Outcomes Framework (THROF).
A key focus of this position is on the planning, quality and risk management, and evaluation of the organisation's AOD programs, including driving and leading best practice via state-wide direct reports who will facilitate and manage local implementation within their specialised AOD teams.
Key responsibilities
- Guide the practice principles of our organisation's QLD AOD services which are aligned with National and Queensland Alcohol, Tobacco and other Drug Treatment Frameworks. The core practice framework principles underpinned by human rights and the philosophy of harm minimization.
- Drive Support AOD Service Manager's to uphold Sour organisation's accreditation under Human Services Quality Framework with the prescribed timeframes and in accordance with the funding agreements.
- Actively lead and manage the state-wide AOD team, building capacity with a focus on service excellence, supporting training and development, and embedding effective people management driven by our values and mission including mentoring, coaching, and succession planning
Qualifications and experience
- Degree qualification in Management, AOD, Mental Health, Social Work and / or Community Services.
- Clinical Supervision qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a relevant AOD sector position responsible for change management, service delivery improvement, and strategic planning.
- Strong knowledge of AOD best practice including policies, procedures, frameworks and legislation, and service delivery models.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and working relationships in support of networking and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Aptitude for individual autonomy, time management, and attention to detail.
- Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of our organisation and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the organisation.
NOTE:
- This role is based in Brisbane and there will be flexibility to work from home.
- There is an expectation that the preferred candidate is willing to travel as you will be responsible for supporting teams in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and Brisbane.
