There are currently full time and part time opportunities available for the right candidate.
The role;
Working with children and individuals who have disabilities or those who have experienced trauma, a good candidate will have knowledge and understanding of the issues facing people in these situations. Working autonomously in an often isolated environment, you will provide front-line support in the form of personal care, domestic duties, transport, medication assistance, following NDIS plans, building independence through a person centered approach under a therapeutic model of support. Locations include Thornlands, Wellington Point and Rochedale and candidates should expect to work at any of these locations during the course of their work.
Essential Requirements
Experience working with people with disabilities with challenging behaviours such as physical aggression, in a residential or care setting
Minimum qualification of Certificate IV in Disability or another recognised qualification
Willingness to work a rotating roster inclusive of sleepovers and active overnights
Working with Children Card (Blue Card)
NDIS Worker Screening Check or Yellow Card
NDIS worker's orientation training
Ability to do shift work and in-home sleepovers
Ability to participate in team meetings, staff meetings, training and supervision, as required
A full Australian Drivers License
First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
Medication Administration Training or willingness to obtain
Epilepsy Training or willingness to obtain
Covid-19 Infection Control Training
Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination
Comprehensive Car Insurance
