TALENT ACQUISITION - EDUCATION
MUST have experience working in TA/HR role in a school - No exceptions
Part-time 0.5 FTE role
Hybrid role

THE SCHOOL

An independent girls' school in Melbourne with a long tradition of academic excellence and a supportive, inclusive culture. The school is well regarded for its innovative approach to teaching and learning, commitment to student wellbeing, and strong community values. Staff are encouraged to bring fresh ideas, collaborate across teams, and play an active role in shaping the future of the school. With modern facilities and a forward-thinking leadership team, it provides an inspiring environment to work in.

THE ROLE

A newly created part-time Recruitment/Talent Acquisition position (0.5 FTE) has become available to support the school's growing workforce needs. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you'll play a key role in end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning. You'll also contribute to generalist HR activities and have the opportunity to shape recruitment processes, including the potential to introduce new systems and automation in onboarding.

Flexibility is at the heart of this role - the school is open to how the 0.5 FTE is structured, whether across 2-3 full days or spread over 4-5 shorter days. Hybrid working arrangements are supported, with two days onsite and one day from home.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in Recruitment or Talent Acquisition, within the education sector.
  • Strong generalist HR knowledge, with the ability to contribute to contract preparation, onboarding, and workforce planning.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar (highly regarded but not essential).
  • Proactive, organised and approachable, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with the wider team.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement, particularly in onboarding and HR systems.

BENEFITS / PERKS

  • Salary $100K - $115K + Super (pro-rata).
  • Genuine work flexibility - hybrid model (2 days onsite, 1 from home) and adaptable hours across the week.
  • Ongoing position offering long-term career stability.
  • Opportunity to contribute to shaping recruitment and HR processes in a newly created role.
  • Supportive, friendly, and inclusive working culture.
  • Free onsite parking and excellent facilities.
