Job Description
Tradewind are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Visual Arts teacher to join a highly regarded independent co-educational Christian school located in Rouse Hill in Sydney's northwest. Join this well-respected school in a full-time, ongoing position starting term 3, 2024. Part-time applicants are also encouraged to apply.
This role involves teaching Visual Arts to students from year 7-12. Experience teaching stage 6 would be an advantage, however, is not essential.
Demonstrated Experience and Skills
- qualifications and suitable experience to teach Visual Arts
- demonstrated strategies to cater for a variety of learners
- desire to work as part of the wider school team
- flexibility to respond to a dynamic learning environment
- evidence of a relational approach to colleagues, students, and parents
- effective organisation and ability to fulfil administrative and assessment requirements of a teaching role
- excellent communication skills
- ability to achieve strong academic results
- a strong understanding of and commitment to Christian education and the Christian development of students
Prerequisites:
- Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)
- Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references and a Church-based reference
