Job Description
Role Resposibilites :
Engage and work with young people who may require short-term assistance and support, including delivering outreach programs for ages 12-25 and the wider community. This involves providing crisis support, making referrals, and undertaking assessments of young people and/or their families.
Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate youth programs, services, and events that respond to the needs of young people within the municipality.
Manage program administration tasks, including preparing proposals and evaluations, maintaining case notes and files, managing program budgets, and keeping accurate records and statistical data.
Provide information, resources, and referrals to young people and their families, enabling them to make informed decisions and access available community services.
Support the Team Leader/Coordinator with preparation of budgets and reports for internal use and external funding bodies.
Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and strategies that ensure the needs of young people are represented.
Develop and implement promotional strategies to ensure programs, services, and events are well-publicised across the municipality.
Work effectively as part of a team by actively contributing to planning, development activities, and task-focused working groups.
Key Selection Critera:
- A Degree or diploma in Social Work, Youth Work, Community Development and Welfare and a minimum of 18 months of paid relevant experiece
- A victorian Drivers licence and car
