Job Description

Tradewind Australia is partnering with an independent school in South-West Sydney to recruit an Assistant Head of Learning Enrichment. This is an excellent leadership opportunity for an experienced educator with a strong interest in inclusive education, student support, and extension programs.

This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in term 2.

About the Role

As Assistant Head of Learning Enrichment, you will play a key role in shaping whole-school approaches to learning support, academic extension, and inclusive practice. You will lead initiatives that support both high-potential learners and students requiring additional support, while building staff capability through coaching and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of whole-school learning enrichment and support strategies
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to strengthen curriculum differentiation and extension pathways
  • Oversee NCCD processes, including identification, documentation, and compliance
  • Provide instructional coaching and mentoring to teachers in evidence-based practice
  • Manage student case processes and liaise with families and external stakeholders
  • Promote a strong, inclusive and student-centred learning culture

About You

  • Proven experience in learning support, inclusive education, or enrichment
  • Strong understanding of differentiation and diverse learning needs
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and build staff capability
  • Highly organised, with strong skills in data, compliance, and documentation (NCCD)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine commitment to student wellbeing, inclusion, and child safety

Requirements

  • Relevant teaching qualification (Special Education or Gifted Education highly regarded)
  • Current NSW Teacher Registration (NESA)
  • Valid Working With Children Check
  • Previous experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
