Tradewind Australia is partnering with a fast-growing psychology and behaviour support organisation to recruit an experienced and outcomes-driven Behaviour Support Practitioner (Core).

About the Role
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will provide specialist behavioural assessment, intervention and support under the NDIS framework. You'll work with participants with complex behaviours, including forensic, high-risk or escalated presentations, across SIL, SDA, community and home environments.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you will innovate, think critically, and drive meaningful outcomes with the support of a collaborative, no-micromanagement team.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct functional behavioural assessments (FBA) across a variety of environments
Develop and implement evidence-based Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs)
Reduce restrictive practices and promote positive behaviour support
Collaborate with families, carers, support workers and providers
Deliver training and coaching to support staff
Work with participants presenting with complex, high-risk or forensic behaviour
Maintain documentation to NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Commission standards
Provide ongoing behavioural intervention, monitoring and review
What You'll Bring
Essential
Registered NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner (Core level)
Experience supporting individuals with complex or high-risk behaviours
Strong problem-solving mindset - adaptable, confident and proactive
Ability to deliver behaviour support that leads to real measurable change
Understanding of restrictive practice reduction and NDIS compliance
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and report-writing skills
Driver's licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable
Background in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Education or similar
Experience in forensic, SIL/SDA environments or escalated behavioural cases
Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a strong team culture
