Housing Case Manager - Immediate Housing Response Program

Part-Time or Full-Time | SCHADS Level 3 | Based in Kingaroy

We are currently seeking a Housing Support Worker to join a dedicated team delivering the Immediate Housing Response program. In this role, you'll be on the frontline assisting individuals and families in temporary crisis accommodation, helping them navigate their next steps toward long-term housing stability.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting clients in temporary accommodation with respect, empathy, and practical assistance

  • Coordinating access to brokerage and support services to meet immediate needs

  • Assisting clients who are unable to be accommodated to stay engaged with support pathways

  • Helping clients navigate the housing system-including private rentals, social housing, and crisis options

  • Maintaining accurate and timely case notes and documentation

  • Working collaboratively with the Youth Outreach Officer and Team Leader to deliver holistic support

  • Engaging with local services and community networks to build pathways out of homelessness


Who We're Looking For

You are someone who:

  • Believes that housing is a human right

  • Thrives in dynamic, person-centred roles and knows how to build rapport quickly

  • Brings empathy, adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset to complex challenges

  • Has strong organisational and communication skills, and a genuine commitment to community service


What You'll Need

  • A qualification in community services, social work, or a related field

  • Experience working with vulnerable people

  • Familiarity with housing services, rental systems, or Centrelink processes (advantageous)

  • Current QLD Driver's Licence

  • First Aid and CPR certification

  • Blue Card (Working with Children) and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
