Salary Range: $90,000 - $135,000 (Depending on Experience) + 12% Super
Location:

About the Role

As the VCE/IB Chemistry Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous Chemistry programs at senior level, with the opportunity to teach junior Science depending on experience and school needs.

You will work alongside a supportive leadership and teaching team, contributing to curriculum development and the ongoing success of the Science department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality VCE/IB Chemistry lessons
  • Create calm, inclusive and engaging classroom environments
  • Use formative and summative assessment to monitor progress and provide timely feedback
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, moderation and faculty collaboration
  • Participate in pastoral, co-curricular and broader school activities
  • Uphold child safety, wellbeing and inclusive practice

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Education and Science (Chemistry or related discipline)
  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
  • Demonstrated experience teaching VCE Chemistry (IB experience advantageous but not essential)
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Chemistry education
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A collaborative, reflective and professional approach to teaching
